Ashton Kutcher (among others) invests in gidsy
Gidsy, a marketplace for local experiences which calls itself the Lonely Planet 2.o, raised another $ 1.4m seed Investment from Kutcher – along with Index Ventures, Sunstone Capital, Werner Vogels (of Amazon) and Peter Read (UK). After SoundCloud and Amen this is Kutcher’s third seed investment in Berlin… seems like he’s fond of the city. More: TechCrunch Europe
Millions for pflege.de
Pflege.de, a portal with a focus on senior citizens, this week received a financing from KfW and PDV Inter-Media Venture. Only two months after their last financing round they raised new cash – and bought Domizilsuche GmbH, who runs the platform domizilsuche.de, a search engine for senior citizen living and old age homes.
Holtzbrinck Ventures fails to sell Parship
Holtzbrinck Ventures has been trying to sell Parship, one of the oldest online dating sites in Germany. But nobody seems to have met their intended sales price – probably because Parship is beyond it’s prime with stagnating user regsitrations.
