6Wunderkinder receive big money

One of Berlin’s Darlings, 6Wunderkinder, announced that Niklas Zennström (co-founder of Skype) has invested $4.2 m through his venture capital firm Atomico. 6Wunderkinder are expected to launch their much antcipated “Wunderkit” soon – the cash should help.


Upcload measures your size via webcam

Berlin startup upcload is online! It will measure your clothing size using a webcam and a CD – you hold the CD in front of your navel and upcload will measure you. The result is supposedly better than a tailor’s measurement. Upcload aims at nothing less than revolutionizing online clothes shopping!


tamyca – a German carsharing service – scoops up an estimated € 400k

German carsharing services are hot right now – tamyca, who launched in November 2010 as first mover in their market, now received a significant boost in their effort to stay market leader. KIZOO Technology Ventures invested an est. € 400k to boost user base. Currently tamyca has 2.000 registered cars on their plattform.


Xing is growing

Xing, Germany’s version of LinkedIn, reported quarterly revenues of € 16.6m, up from € 13.8m in the previous qurater. Especially e-recruiting grew by an impressive 60% to  3.1m. Investors did not seem impressed by these figures though, the stock lost over 10% in the follwing two days.


Wetab lives!

Lately it got quiet about the once much hype “Ipad Killer” Wetab from Germany. But now suddenly they announced a funding round by Intel through it’s “AppUp” Fund.
